The common mistakes
- Treating 'ethics' as always plural in meaning (it takes a singular verb as a subject)
From the lesson
An accountant prepares the yearly report. The company lost money, but investors are expecting good news. So the accountant quietly changes the numbers: a loss becomes a profit on paper.
